Downtown Littlefield has two claims to fame: birthplace of country music outlaw Waylon Jennings, and home to the tallest windmill in Texas , a replica of the mill once located on what was the world's biggest ranch, the XIT. The windmill's height was a result of the fact that it was located in a draw. Ranch Road 168 to Olton has two interesting green windmills on the roadside, as well as the beautiful and unusual Lamb County Sand Hill formation.
