"The proposed Wind Power Trail is yet another way visitors can discover an important part of this area's history, through the history of wind energy producers such as windmills. The Wind Power Trail is a travel project that wanders through museum collections in the Oklahoma towns of Lawton , Norman , Elk City , Woodward and Shattuck, the Texas towns of Spearman, Canyon, Plainview and Lubbock . A trail map and an audio interpretative compact disk will be available by May 31, after all interested towns have their wind-energy resources assessed and join the trail. The idea was developed by Seth Davidson of Miami , Gina Gillispie of Spearman, and John Armour of Lubbock."
